About Allison
Hi, I’m Allison Muirhead, a commercial photographer based in Oxford, Mississippi. For more than 20 years, I’ve photographed businesses, people, and places across Mississippi and the Southeast, creating images for websites, advertising, publications, and everyday marketing.
My work ranges from corporate teams and construction crews to restaurants, retailers, and destinations. I enjoy getting to know a business, understanding what makes it different, and figuring out how to show that through photographs.
How I Work:
Before I pick up a camera, we talk about what you need and where the photographs will be used. A new website, an advertising campaign, and an updated team directory each call for a different approach.
From there, we plan the people, locations, and shots that matter. I can work directly with you or alongside your agency, designer, or marketing team to make sure we’re creating what the project needs.
On shoot day, I give clear direction, help people feel comfortable, and keep things moving. I also pay attention to the practical details: room for copy, different image orientations, and the variety you’ll need beyond one great photograph.
The goal is to leave you with a collection you can keep reaching for.
Photography, With a Marketing Perspective
I also own Cultivate Branding & Design, where I work with businesses on branding, websites, and marketing.
That experience shapes how I photograph. I know what it’s like to build a website or plan marketing around a limited collection of images. So I think about how your photographs will work together, where they need to fit, and what will make them useful to the people putting your marketing together.
A Little More About Me
Oxford, Mississippi, is home, but I’m happy to pack a camera bag and travel for a project.
When I’m not photographing or working with clients, you’ll often find me walking the Oxford Square, reading crime fiction, or cheering on Ole Miss sports.
